Hi, I’m Lynn Mendonca the founder of Mend A Garment.

Before starting this business, I owned and operated laundries for many years. One of the services our customers valued most was garment mending — those small repairs that saved a favourite jacket or extended the life of a treasured pair of trousers.

I realised then that people still care about their clothes and shoes but getting them fixed was often inconvenient and time-consuming.

That’s where the idea for Mend A Garment came from. I’ve always believed there’s a space in the market for personal, concierge-style services that make life easier, and this is exactly what we’re offering.

Back in my laundry days, it was the smallest gestures...a stitched button, a fixed hem, a replaced zip that built trust with customers and kept them coming back.

That personal touch inspired me to launch Mend A Garment as a dedicated, on-demand repair service for people who value both convenience and care.
